Finishing the Film

Homebrew

HERE is my friend Roj, after trying some of my homebrew!

Mike and Paula's Wedding

My best friend Mike married Paula in August 1995. I was honoured to be Mike's best man, and in the time-honoured fashion, made sure the evening before would be one that he would not remember!! The evening was meant to begin at 1900, with lots of ale. I had booked a strip-a-gram to arrive at the pub for 2100 - plenty of time for Mike to be in `the right frame of mind'! Unfortunately, Mike was reluctant to come out this early, and we didn't arrive to the pub until just before 2100. Mike had bearly taken his first sip when the girl arrived.

Stone cold sober, Mike endured quite a daunting journey into the `hopelessly embarrassed groom-to-be' experience. I have carefully censored the resulting photos, and THIS is the remaining picture!

Later on, we moved-on to another pub. Here, Mike met-up with some OLD FRIENDS.

After closing time, we made our way back to my parents' house, where we were to stay for the night. Unfortunately, we were a bit too drunk to be able to sleep, so we had a cup of tea and some biscuits. This was when Mike made the astonishing discovery that football stickers can double as SHADES. Unfortunately, I have had to censor the remaining photographs of the evenings events.

The next morning, I got up early enough to ensure that I was ready for the day before Mike was awake. This way, I would be able to attend to his needs, to ensure that everything was in order for him. Strangely enough, I was horrifically hung-over, and yet Mike seemed to have recovered remarkably well! The ceremony went rather smoothly, and HERE are Mike and Paula signing the register (apologies for the poor picture quality). HERE is a picture of the little bridesmaids, and HERE is one of them trying to get the bouquet! Danielle, the younger of the two, was not feeling very well that day (me neither!), but I managed to catch her smiling HERE.

Nephew

At around this time, Sam, my nephew `arrived' into the world. HERE is a picture of Karen and myself with him, just a few weeks old (August 1995).

Amsterdam

HERE is a picture of one of the canals in Amsterdam, taken during our visit in September 1997.

Cornwall

We visit the most South-Westerly tip of Cornwall almost every summer. I hope you will understand why from the small selection of photos that I've scanned. Most of them are from summer 1997.

Most days (depending on the weather), we spend strolling around the coastal paths. HERE is a view from one of the paths. During our walks, we often stumble across weird and interesting landmarks, suchas disused tin MINESHAFTS, and pre-historic sites like the MERRY MAIDENS. Ofcourse, the most impressive part of such days are the breathtaking SUNSETS.

This year, we paid a visit to Falmouth, where Karen took some nice pictures of the HARBOUR.

Big Log!

And, finally, here's a piccie of myself + friends on the log plume at Chessington World of Adventures.
